Deleting your account

This is how to delete a DustRide account, the one you sign in to the DustRide app with, and what deleting it removes.

In the app

1. Open DustRide and sign in.
2. Open the menu at the top left and choose "Your account".
3. Tap "Delete my account", then tap it again to confirm.

The account is deleted straight away.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app, write to admin@dustride.pl from the email address your account uses, and say that you want the account deleted. We delete it within 30 days and reply when it is done. If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm the request from the account's own address first, so that nobody can delete somebody else's account.

What is erased straight away

• Your email address, name and password, and every session that kept you signed in.
• The name the group saw, from your settings.
• The rides you created stop being visible to everybody who was in them, in the app and on this website.

What is kept, and how to have it deleted

The rest of your settings (the map and display preferences), your list of the rides you joined, and the rides you created with their names and route files are hidden from everybody, without your email address or name, and tied to an internal identifier. If you want them gone, write to admin@dustride.pl from the address the account used, and say roughly when it was deleted; we delete them within a month. Without such a request, we delete them at the latest 6 years after the end of the year in which the account was deleted. Only the code of each ride you created remains, with no link to you, so that it is never reused.

What we keep longer, and why

• The record of which version of the terms was accepted, and when: for 6 years from the end of the year in which the account was deleted, to be able to show what was agreed in case of a dispute.
• Correspondence with us: for the periods given in the privacy policy.
• Database backups expire within 90 days, and the email sending log after 45 days.

On your phone

Deleting the account signs the app out and removes the list of recent rides and your account settings from the phone. Uninstalling the app removes everything, including the downloaded map.

Deleting data without deleting the account

You can ask for particular data, such as your ride history, to be deleted by writing to admin@dustride.pl.

You can create a new account with the same email address later. The whole of what DustRide keeps, and why, is in the privacy policy.
